If it's a V force, Push down on the back of the seat while pushing down on the release lever. This takes the pressure off the bar clamps and should work for you. Good luck!

Look underneath
there are two bolts that go thru the grab bar....and thru the frame
pop them out and you can take the whole back plastic off
then its alot easier to get to the seat bolts
really not much reason to take the seat off.....you must be replacing it???????

KawaKasi is right. After removing those bolts, the seat is bolted to the rear plastic and that would only be held on to the bike by the plastic tags that go into the frame under the base of the gas tank. If you have the mud flaps on the rear also, you will either have to disconnect them from the rear plastic, or from the heel guard (I zip tied mine so it's a simple cut and replace).

good luck

I needed to know how to get the seat off cus i was wondering if i would have to take it off to install a pro design kill switch? If so, does anyone know where the ignition box is located and wut wires and stuff to clamp the kill switch wires to. (pretty much jus explain to me how to install a pro design kill switch) Thanks!
