Default simple problem on the vforce

In a race over the weekend my vforce kept dying and finally it lost all power at once. I blew the fuse under the seat that is coved by a red cover. Problem was the wires coming out of my CDI box had be rubbing against my frame and decided to ware through during the race. Just a little black tape should take care of the problem. Just wanted to make everybody with a vforce aware.

Wher exactly did the wires rub through? In other words is the CDI the little black box on the stock exhaust side up under the rear fender? This just happened to me as well and I can't figure out why!!

looking at your atv from the rear it will be under you right fender. You will see a black box with two different wiring harnesses coming out. The wires come out and run over the frame.

So was it real close to the CDI that the wires rub the coating off and shorted out? I wonder if we should run electrical tape aoalong the wire!

The wiring that kawi did for the V seems a litle under par...do you think it will be wired a little different on the 05's?

I agree that the wiring is under par. Im going to run some black tape around the wires that have been damaged and check other vulnerable place that shorts could occur. About what fixes that are going to happen for the 05 I dont know. The wiring problem and the tie rods are the only thing that I really got complaints about. So far Ive been please with the vforce. Ive only had mine for 8 months so Im sure there will be other ploblems, I just hope they're not to costly.
