Default well i got to the shims

Once I got to the shims one fell out and it appears that there might be another one. It seems like it is stuck. Has anyone had this or is it not a shim.

Are you useing your stock belt ? I didnt use any shims. The 02 only had one thick shim, so i am now shimless. Good and tight belt. Alittle noise at first but now she's just right. If you are useing your stock belt you wont need a shim. Now if you go with a wider belt like the 700 or 360 belt. You will need a thin shim. Trust me.

This is the 02 with original belt. It only has 400 miles on it though. Ill take it out though. Im also putting in the black spring. Do you think I could file that big shim down to .6. I think its going to be way to tight. It was just a little above spec so I just need a small shim.

success!!!! Or at least I think so. I took out the only one 1 mm shim and now it sqeels at little at idle in gear. Otherwise it pulls like a sob. This won't damage anything with it being this tight I guess?????? I assume it will wear itself out and eventually not squeal.

Yea for kfx400guy Mine did that at first , it will go away after a few good rides. It wont hurt anything, just dont forget to take it out of gear when you stop for a length of time at idle.
