800cc problem
Fullthrottle,
Shotgun has more experience in his little thumb throttle than you have in your entire vocabulary, vo ca bu lar y. Don't do any bashing here as it will not be tolerated, tol er a ted!!!!
RPM does not through out the oil unless you have a problem in the cylinders. Which cylinder is doing this? Have a leak down test done. Have you talked with Mickey he is straight forward will help you to the utmost you are not alone.

This is a ring seal problem. Most of us including myself don't break the motors in good before we get on them hard. This lets hot gas pass by the rings and washes the oil of the cylinders. Scuffing the cylinder will look like you sucked dirt through the motor. Re-ringing and lightly honing the cylinders will fix it. This will not fix the hi rpm problem and I am working on a catch tank for the oil that will drain back into the motor like all the new sport atv's have stock. This is not a 800 problem it even does it on my bone stock V with the hi-rev cdi.

Yup, I was going to say the same thing. Namely, that my only slightly modded KFX700 dumps oil into the airbox with each full throttle run up Sand Mountain. I haven't been worrying about it as long as the dipstick measures oil in the crankcase. Kind of a bad design on KAWASAKI'S part if you ask me.

Okay, I'm sure I'm going to start a bit of debate here.
"Most of us including myself don't break the motors in good before we get on them hard"
What is the right way to break in the motor? My BB is should be running by next weekend and I want to break it in right. I was going to simply do the 10hours, no idle, 1/4 to 1/2 max throttle approach.
Peace,
Sgt_Rock
P.S. See, I wasn't lying about the CDI kicking some A$$! ;-)

Mr. Rock 2hr's, 10 to 15min's at a time, 6 times, 1/4 to 1/2 open riding speed. Then change the oil and do it again so you have a good 2hr's on it then you are ready to "rock".

I broke mine in ( used as a wheel chair )... LOL... at the 12 hours race... no idleing, slow speeds for 1/2 the day, then I spotted during the night portion of the race ( as far away from the croud as you could go, so I got to drive the reace course on the way out & back ( about normal trail ride speed )... then seated the rings, during the pulls the next day...
