Default 800cc problem

got mickeys 800cc kit with cdi one problem runs great awesome power, problem is putting oil in air box from crankcase vent tube at high rpm while riding, i see one 2 things happening needs more air take out air filter runs great without air filter no oil in box, even took off snorkel, air deflector in box and added k@n air filter still does it not so bad though. dont know cause intake has so much vaccum sucking the air and oil it can out of crankcase because cant get enough air into box or the dreaded problem building up pressure in crankcase and blowing it out tube into air box wich i hope not any suggestions why putting oil in air box anybody with 800 kit have this problem

more tough reading.

Try some punctuation. You'll more than likely get a response then.

Don't have the problem, but I have read post after post on here, when the oil get overfilled, it goes to the airbox.

You may have to run a longer breather hose with a K&N filter on it.I have heard of this problem of the crank case pressure to high. The racing go-cart guys run a oil trap alum. box with a filter on top to solve this problem.

FULL... it is, a little challenging reading...

But on to constructive posts...

What kind of rpm are you running, when oil is getting into the filter box ???

With my FST 750 kit on my Prairie, I can easily run up to 8400 rpm... no oil in the filterbox... I do have a custom "ram air" type induction system... & while I'll admit that there is not positive air pressure in my filterbox at 70 mph, I'm sure it is no where near the vaccuum as the restrictive modified standard induction system... this is why I'm asking the rpm's that you are running, when you are having the problem...

one suggestion... run the crank case vent tube up to the handle bar stem, to where the other vent tubes run, then put a free flowing filter on the end... the extra 1 foot or so of raised hose may help, also if it is the negitive air pressure in the filter box, this will eliminate that problem... if you are still oiling out the end, then there is likely a splashing problem with the position of the vent, that is related to the extra rpms... this could possibly be eliminated by relocating the crank case vent...

No, not really stupid. Just offering some advice for a new member. I guess you can't take any constructive criticism. No offense was intended to be given or taken.

Default 800cc problem

I had the same problem, so I ran an extended breather hose up near the handle bars and put a K+N oil filter on it.Tis helped but still had the problem, I had been keeping the oil level centered between the high and low mark on the dip stick, but even at that level it would still blow a pint of oil out. I now run the oil level at the bottom of the dip stick and have been for a couple of months, I have not had any more problems, I discussed it with mickey and Skip from Sandtech and they both said AS long as your registering oil on the dip stick I shouldn't have a problem. Cannot tell you where to run your oil level, but that is what I am doing, I use red line synthetic 10W-40 oil.

Fullthrottle; Do they re nickasil these cylinders before they finish hone the cylinders, what hone finish grit are the machinists useing, im sure these are moly rings? or are they ? Does total seal make a gapless ring for the upper or second ringland? you might want to run a leak down check on your cylinders and see what percentage is leaking by the rings? sounds like a possible lack of breakin procedure , or they are not useing the right honeing procedure to get your rings to seat quick, Im sure mickey is on top of this but when the machining is done some where else its out of his hands, I don't know, but if that leak down is ok, Your rings are seated in, and you probably better vent it better as everyone is saying. just some food for thought.
