650p dragged a z400
#1
just for sh@t and giggles i asked my neighbor if he wanted to drag. he kinda laughed and said sure. he weighs about 130 wet, he has a pipe & jet kit. i weigh 285 dry, really dry. well we lined up and i said when ever your ready, and it was on. at the 200 foot he had me by 2 or 3 quad lengths. at the 400 foot he had me by about 10 lengths. i told him that i was getting a cdi soon and we will have to go again. he was quite supprised how it ran, you could see it in his face as well.

I really enjoy the WTF look in the kids eyes when the p700 strikes! A buddy of mine has a heavily modded 400EX and I can get him in a drag race when the going gets a little slippery. Kinda like cheatin', but a wins a win!! Good luck after your dyna box shows up!

I dragged two Yamaha Warriors and beat both by about 2 bike lengths over a 300 yard run. That's without my new CDI... I'm still waiting for it to show!! I'll repeat the drag once it shows and let you know how it goes!!
Yeah all the sporty quads get a kick out of when I race them... some win, some lose.. but then I head over to a big mud hole at the end of where we drag, and blast through fender deep mud/soup and challenge them to try that!!

I have a lightly modded p650 with the cdi and a bone stock z400, (actually just added Maxxis Razr2's)
on a dry track the z400 gets 3 to 4 bike lengths every time, add some turns and the prairie is yestardays news.
Add some mud or slop and the prairie is the machine to be on. I'm trying to add the right mods to get the p650 to handle better in the woods. Check out the other thread that is going on

I love my prairie and as far as utes go there are none finer...however, i have a pipe and jetted KFX 400 and it will roll and smoke that prairie under all conditions except maybe extremely muddy. On that prairie i have beat a warrior with air mods by about 3-4 lengths in 200-250 feet...but the prairie cant out run the KFX...and the KFX has about 4-5 mph on top end as well...My KFX ran with my buddies stock KFX 700 ...to the point he went out and piped and mod'd his ....sure the 700 will eat the 400 now. Not saying that the people didnt beat the KFX/Z 400 with their prairies...just saying if they did the KFX wasnt tuned and running like it can or they have found ways to pull performance from their Prairies that I have yet to find
