Not to be Disrespectful

I can respect your question, wondering how the other half lives. Obviously, I don't think there should be comparison in every single category as not every sport is equal and not every utility is equal. Some sport quads can't climb hills and some utilities don't do so well in mud. It's all in the bike, and it's also in the rider. But to answer your question, utilites are fun because they can be so versatile. Not all, I'm sure, but the ones I have had can be used for far more than work!! My Rancher was even quite a quad, and I kept up really well with guys going balzout in the woods on 400ex's and p650's (had a little trouble on the straight aways ). I've seen a lot of other pure utility quads rip through the woods; sure wears you out more than a sport! But the Prairies...totally different category. Definitely an incredible sport quad on top of being a very powerful ute. If you don't believe me, you should come ride with our local race team here (all on prairies). Betcha you wouldn't need to ask that question again . You can check out a couple jump pics on my photo page, not your typical ute pictures. I would have bought another prairie instead of a 300ex if they were just a little bit smaller for me! But I sure have fun on the guys' race prairies when they take a break

Up here in mid-AK very few people have sport quads, but the ones that do know how to get around on them. It's winter 8mo. out of the year up here, I'm talking doesn't get above freezing winter for 8mo. There is snow on the ground from Sep. 1 til mid Apr. It just started to melt off last week. With a good set of tires, there isn't many places I can't go. In my riding group there is 4 utes, 3 p650 and 1 p360, a yfz and me. My buddy on the yfz usually leads. I follow him, and somewhere behind us are the utes. There has been more than one occasion when we have stopped and the utes. don't catch up for a couple of minutes. I've seen a p650 get stuck in a choppy gravel pile that my z had no probs with just cause his front end was to heavy and the narrow front tires dug in. So, I invite any ute. to come ride up here if you want to see a sport quad go were a prairie can't. Granted, this is about the only situation where it applies but come on, it's hard to find something a sport quad can do that a prarie can't. If and when I can get another quad it'll be a p700. Z's just aren't hunting friendly.
