My ITP Dilemma
#11
I plan on running the new 26" ATR's... as I hear the quality is MUCH improved over the 25".... but if I go for a more mud tire, I'm looking at the Maxis Bighorns, or Goodyear Mudrunners.... I hear good things about both!!

The only thing that changed my mind on Mudlites is I heard they wore bad and the Mudrunners wore GREAT. They are kinda high-priced though. Would 26" Mudlites stand the test of time as good as Mudrunners or Gators assumming I stayed off the pavement as much as possible?

FYI:
I now have 1,000 miles on my 1 year old 25" Mudlites and they are worn down pretty badly. I will be replacing them within the next week or two. I have occasionally ridden on asphalt roads with these ML's to do timed runs and to cruise up and down the asphalt street in front of my house and that has caused the soft rubber compound on the ML's to wear out quickly. Other than this excessive wear problem (which may have been avoided by staying off pavement), I was very happy with my ML's...I especially liked its light weight and good grip in the mud!
