Wife rolled V need parts help
Well she rolled down a hill, she's alright but the bike needs some attention. First the "u" shaped part up by the handle bars that connects to the steering stem is bent back on one side about 3/4 of an inch. Can this be bent back without too much trouble ? The parts i need are , handle bars. tierods, and axel. Any suggestions would be greatThanks, trailride

I agree, ronayers.com is great for ordering oem parts, I just placed an order today. I would recommend spending a little more and getting an aftermarket set of handlebars. the stock ones are very soft and bend easy. trailtech makes a very cool kit with fat bars and a trick billet mount for about $120 off their website. There are tons of brands that are better than stock. You also might want to look at a stronger axle too, say durablue or something.

Thanks guysI was looking at the durablue axel and aftermarket bars. This u shaped piece is part of the frame , that the steering stem connects to or runs through. I dont think its a part you can buy , either fix or cut off and replace kinda part. Any of you guys with aftermarket axel's suggest a brand and where to get it. Ive seen the dura blue, but havent got a price on any of it yet.

lol, I rolled my V in November. Pretty much the same stuff busted, my axle made it out in one piece. The U shaped handle bar support can be bent back. I didn't fix my V as it had some exstensive damage so I did an insurance claim. I would bend that part back and brace it.

I like rockymountainatv.com they have been good to work with over the years. Check Here:http://www.rockymountainatv.com/home.asp?sid=0003742491 for the durablue eliminator for $289.95. I think it would be worth it over the price of the stock one. I am sure just abour any shop can get a durablue: Nac's, JLATV, Magic racing, etc. By the way, a long time ago I had a three wheeler axle straightened by a machine shop with a hydraulic press for cheap. Not sure if that is an option, It could possible weaken the axle.

By the way, welcome to the club, I rolled my V in Jan. Check my photos for my trimmed plastic (not because I wanted to, because it was all busted up. Lucky for me, all I bent was the bars. I am finally getting around to trying to fix my front fender, since I broke almost all the mounts off it. Me on the other hand, got a mild concussion, and I couldn't walk for a few days. If I didn't have a helmet on, i don't even want to think of what would have happened!!!
