Default instrument pannel gone crazy

Today took the bike out for a few hours, brought it home and cleaned it up. Decided to take it for a spin around the yard and after about 5 minutes my instrument pannel started flashing, the reverse light was flashing and it was hesitating if i gave it any gas above a fast idle.
It ran great all day, and when i cleaned it, i didnt even take the seat off to clean under it so i discount any water getting in the electrical since i mainly washed the undercarriage.

Any clue?

Thanks

I would let it dry out thoroughly before taking it apart. Maybe it was just a fluke and water go into a connection.

Its sitting with the seat off in the barn ATM. Ill take a look at it tommorow night after work. I thought it might be the DG module, but the LED was flashing at idle. (couldnt rev the engine up to see if the flash sped up.).
Which speaking of G3 module, I really dont see ANY performance gains with that thing. They said i wouldnt see as much since its a 02 model but they said there would be some. wonder if its screwed up...

Is that what happens when the belt sensor is tripped? Nothing subtle about that if thats the case.

Your belt has tripped and you are now in the limp mode. Mine did the same thing after I washed it. This was on the 650 about a year ago, no trouble since I reset it.

Since i smoked the belt twice a month ago, i should prob. just go ahead and replace the belt im guessing since its tripped.

Will it auto reset after i replace the belt?

Thanks for the info.

You will need to flip the on/ off switch on the inside of the CVT cover...
