I have a close buddy who has a kfx-700and i must say if you dont have the jetting almost perfect the 700 engine wil not run that well. In fact he just added the k$n twin dual yoshi and his jetting is lean right know and he is running a 145 in front and a 150 in back. I know for a fact his kfx-700 is running way lean. Because its noticably slower than before. And he says mid range has been lost aswell as top end. My buddy doesnt like to do his own work so he has to bring into the shop(wimp). But i know with just exhaust on those kfx-700 can be deadly fast!!! But not fast enough to beat me on my kfx-400. (sucker) You should start with 165 in front and 170, espcaily because you have ram air.

What I seen was the electrode tip was bright white (lean) the best way to check plug color is warm the quad up just enough so it will start and idle without the choke, then put the new plugs in and ride for about 30 mins, then look at them, the electrode should have light color and the porchelin that surrounds the electrode should be light tan for perfect jetting.........
