I can't remember if raising the needle richens or leans the mixture? [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] It's been so long since I've messed with my carb., I just can't remember. Anyone care to refresh my so very poor memory?

 

raising it should richen your mixture--I am myself experimenting with my needles--I seem to have some awe some strong midrange with .040 shim but bad overloading at 1/8 to 1/4 throttle----I just put in an .020 shim and still running good but still breaking up at slight throttle---I went to hardware store and bought some small brass washers that are perfect fit into plastic around needle head. Used a flat file and finger pressure along with a borrowed micrometer to file down to.020
