What would happen stock vs. stock? Remember, we're talking stock 650 here against stock Sport 400!

My money is on the P650. I don't know about the Sport 400, but my Sportsman 500 H.O. can't even compare with the speed of my Prairie 700.

I know the Prairie's top speed is higher. I mean a drag of maybe about 100 or 150 yards.

both stock, its going to be close i'm going to say the sport 400 wins barely because of the 2 stroke auto.

I wouldnt count on that. The 400 Sport has a top speed of around 67mph

What's the "2 stroke auto" got to do with a performance advantage? The general concensus is that stock for stock, a 400EX would take it in a drag. Why couldn't a 650 V-Twin 4-stroke? I know there's the weight factor, but we all know that Prairie is a powerhouse.

Having raced a 400EX with K&N filter and pipe, my bone stock P700 smoked it in a sand drag. Wasn't even close. If that's the case, then the P650 ought to have no problem trouncing the Polaris.
