Default Synthetics

Marylandatv, you hit the nail right on the head. So long as you do regular oil changes with dino you should be just fine. Synthetic oils are a much better choice though as far as significantly less wear on your engines, they will run slightly cooler, your engines will be cleaner as synthetics will not promote carbon buildup and sludge like dino oil does. Synthetic oil is a cheap insurance policy for your engines IMO. Yes that's my website I'm an Amsoil dealer. I believe in this oil and have had great results using it. So like I said you should be just fine using the dino oil with regular oil and filter changes. I just like having the piece of mind using a superior quality synthetic like Amsoil in all my vehicles both on and off road.

One of our key drivers toward synthetics is that the field work force is not getting the oil changed as often as they should. The fuel savings is also another big advantage for us, but may not be significant outside of a fleet environment.
