Default needle jet spring update

got excited tonight and cut 1" off the needle jet spring, removed shim I had in the needle and wasnt very impressed--definitely bad lag time in the midrange. Although top end speed (uphill on my driveway) increased about 1 mph more.

SO DONT BE TRIMMING YOUR SPRINGS JUST YET!

I am going to give Mickey Dunlap a call tomorrow and see if he has any suggestions. The only other thought I have is maybe drilling or replacing the jet needle---but not sure what effect this might have. Hope I can buy a new needle spring
