Default Prairie 650 top end bog

Hello,

I am hoping someone can help me with my problem. When I reach top speed my 650 starts to bog. When I let off the gas and go slaower, it stops. It seems I can never go full out. If I just pin it from a stop it's fine. It's only when I reach top speed that it starts to bog. Can anyone help.

Thank you

Did you add any motor/airbox mods lately? I had a similar stumble problem at high speeds right after I did a bunch of motor mods (Napa hose, twin air filter, Nyroc muffler mod and DAJs) and soon discovered that my main jets were too rich. Once I rejetted to a smaller jet size, the problem went away.

Good luck and Happy trails...

Check your fuel pump pressure before you tear into your carb.

It wouldn't hurt to check the intake snorkle for a restriction also.

Mine was the opposite of Mikeyboy's, did it even stock, got worse with exhaust mod and snorkel, went to the 142/145 main jet combo and seemed to cure the problem, runs great now.
