Riding Position

In a previous post, nyroc made a comment about the Brute Force having a high seat height. A quick scan of ATV specs shows...
Yamaha Grizzly- 34.6"
Sportsman 700- 34.0"
Suzuki King Quad 700/Vinson- 33.9"
Kawi Prairie 700- 34.3"
Kawi Brute Force- 36.8"
Arctic Cat V-2- 6 ft....well, not that high.
The BF does sit much higher than the others. Kawasaki's propaganda says..."Rider position on the Brute Force 750 4x4i is more upright and sits nearly two and-a-half inches higher than that of the Prairie 700 4x4, enhancing the rider’s ability to scan the horizon" Scan the horizon? That sounds like turning lemons into lemonade. The ATV Connection "pre"-review did say that it feels unstable. I sure hope that this is due more to unfamiliarity with the BF than with the suspension design. I have some friends who have had Grizzly's and hated that "tippy" feeling. I know that they are utes and aren't meant to handle well at speed, but I want to feel confident when I'm pushing the limits of man and machine.

2" can make a huge difference in balance. From the loooks of all of the other big bores, it seems that the 34" area is the sweet spot for seat height. Why would Kawasaki take such a huge leap and make the BF riding position so much higher than any other manufacturer...or even itself? It seems to me that it might be something happened during the design process that caused them to have to live with that height rather than that being a feature. Why make an insanely powerful ATV that handles like a tank? When you are riding the Rubicon trail, wouldn't you want stability to go with that power?
Hmmm...It makes me want to get a P700 with ITP ATRs instead!

Get a nice set of C Series offset wheels this will help. Remember it is a 750 with IRS and it only weighs 604 lbs. Its what we all want, just buy it and love it, you now you will. We already no how to mod it up so get to it. It will be the most sought after ATV EVER, get one why you can.
