Front Shocks for Mojave

.. thats about it, you'll see where the grinding will be necesarry. After ya drill out the holes with the 17/32 bit- DO NOT use a 9/16 bit, although it is close it is a bit too big and you'll be kickin' yourself for the rest or your days- you'll still need to do a little filing becuase the bit is just under the required 14mm diameter of the bolt. Then you're set- go racing.....................

... Hmm, good point, 'addict. Mine came off of an '86. But yeah- before anything, have the shock in your hands first. A KLR CDI box is the preferred item, but ya really won't see anything unless ya go with some cams- stainless steel valves and high pressure springs are on the very highly recommended list with the cams. Have Fun..............

Then you're on the right track. A good and inexpensive carb would be from a 400ex. It's 1.5mm larger and- most importantly, it has an accelerator pump; got that wisdom compliments of the 'addict.

That was exactly the one I was going to get. I will be doing this once my truck is done, I got some things to put into that: System, wheels, roll pan, and paint job then it's all the mojave is gonna get souped up.

Stock '87-'92 Quadracer front shocks are the right length and feature adjustable rebound damping. Problem is the Mojave top mounts are slightly too narrow for the shocks to slide into. I've been thinking about modifing the shock by cutting or grinding the top mount to be more narrow but I haven't gotten around to it. I got my shocks used off ebay for $10. For that price they will be worth experimenting on and Quadracer shocks ride pretty well.
