Front Shocks for Mojave
#31
..... Thanks for the heads up on the Quadracer shocks, I just went over to ebay to take a peek at'em and they look like just another kiddie shock with the only adjustment being the bottom collar like the stock 'jave units. Or is it that the spring rates are superior, could it be true? Let me know how those units work out on yours.

Nope mine is very loud but that is because I have about 20 or so disks in it though. You can make it quiet by putting less disks on the end. The more you put the more power you gain though. It is a good pipe it really wakes it up add a clamp on air filter and you will really wake it up and you will really feel a difference.. Make sure you jet it perfect though. It took me some time to get it just right but now it is right on key.. I hope this helps you..

do blaster shocks or kfx or z 400 shocks work cause i can get either one for $40 and they're practicly brand new compared to my 1994 beat to crap mojave shocks. if you really dont have money for shocks you can buy a back belt i got one and you think your suspesion is awesome with that on lol!!!

I have some Blaster shocks, they are shorter than the Mojave's, and- they are bolt hole ends are too wide for the Mojave mounts. Peronally I've thought about grinding them a bit smaller so they'd fit the Mojave mounts. I can't vouch how good they are though over the Mojave units.

Without measuring anything I just can't see LTZ 400 shocks mounting up on a Mojave. The Mojave doesn't use shocks that are as long as a the 400's. As far as a Blaster goes, I don't see how those shocks would be an improvement other than they will probably ride softer at low speeds (if they even bolt up).
I know Works makes aftermarket shocks but those run at least $300. The stock Mojave shocks are actually very good at high speeds and jumps but they have too much damping for trail riding, especally at low tempertures. During the winter it doesn't seem like my front shocks even move. However, when it comes to slamming whoops or hitting jumps my Mojave has less of a tendency to bottom out than my 400. Kinda crazy IMO, but then my 400 rides better in all other situations so I doesn't matter all that much.
