Hey Moron, you'll need to splice some wires to hook up the KLR box as teh end fitings are different. As far as the snout of the 400ex carburetor it's ever so slightly larger than the stocker but the clamp on filter used on the stocker will fit on the EX carb as well. As far as springs-- it's a good idea to get new, stiffer ones because the new RPM capability will exceed the stock specs by a good measure and the stock sprins will not be able too keep up. While you're there ya might wanna toss in some 1mm oversize valves, too. Stainless steel ones.

I've shelved the front shock idea right now, MojaveMad. But thanks for the recommendation.

,, Hey Moron- you've probobly heard this a million and one times by now, but CWR has everything you'll need. When I get all the finances together I'm going with 380 cams, 1mm oversized stainless valves and springs. Anything over the 380's will relegate the quad to the racer braket pretty much meaning you'll hafta be on it 1000% all the time. A rush at the dunes maybe but it'll get kinda old. One more thing- CWR's 380 cam grind is the best profile compared to other manufacturers 380 profiles.

I think I am just going to go with a drop in hot cam and some valve springs, will i need to get the black box too? what about the carb, will that be needed?
