Default Front Shocks for Mojave

The mud sharks are good, i ride in loose dirt and rocks, i just tried them in snow and they do pretty well. They wear fast on hard pack or tar. I am looking to replace them for the summer and only use them in the winter. If you ride in mud, they are for you.

.. whao, hold the phone there, Moron! with the cams and springs you'll really need the stainless valves. This is because the higher RPM's offered you'll end up pulling the stock valve thru the head. So go with the valves too, granted ya might find a head for a mojave on ebay, and if ya win it you still have to wait for it to be shipped to ya and then ya gotta transfer everything to the new head. Just tryin' to save ya a royal pain in the behind........

Hey guy's, I too have been thinking about cams and stuff. What are the performance gains?? or would it be easier to do an engine swap?

What kind of engine y alookin' to swapin, Mad? But the answer is no, it's not easier to do and engine swap. Motor mounts being the bigest concern. Cams are the way to go, along with an accompanying KLR box to let it wind out. Start by uncorking everything starting with a decent pipe, ditching the airbox, this will make it quite louder, however. And that'll get ya goin'. It realy wakes up when ya ditch that airbox, though......

Hey, I've been thinking of Hot Cams or whatever White Brothers have to offer. I know what i want, I just don't know what the gains would be. Has anyone u know ever ran a Dyno? I 'm just wondering how reliable it would be after the mods?

No- I don't have numbers, all I can tell ya is that the fun factor is increased like exponentially. Remember- with the cams, you'll also need Stainless steel valves and stiffer springs.

.. That's about it with the cams. I once toyed with the idea of stuffing a KDX250 engine into the mojave- but wrote it off for reasons of the 2006 EPA mandates.

Putting a kx500 motor is not a good idea. The frame would probably crack because it was not made for that much power. You could gusset plate it and such but I still think that ever nut and bolt would rattle off do to all the vibration.. You could try it but I do not know how well it would work out.

Hey...I'm not that serious about doing the Swap...Just throwing ideas out there to see what i'll get...Thanks though.. I'm really just thinking of doing some upgrades..I 've heard all about the kx 250 that William Yokley had aswell...And how it was a huge VIBERATOR..So i can imagine how bad it would be with twice the hp... I just don't know where to get a straight answer about the MOJAVE that i love and everyone else laughs at..
