dynotec gas requierments

Default dynotec gas requierments

Do you need to run higher octane gas with the cdi? Dg says with thier module and a key you need to run premium. But it is the same advance timing as the cdi from dynotec.

Dyna themselves say 89 i believe. I always thought that high compression is the reason for using premium gas.

Mine runs fine on anti-knock index of 87 with or without the new cdi (that is the recommended # in al l the Prairie owners books). Whatever your owner's book says, (probably 87) I believe you can use that with no problem from the new cdi. Also, I seem to remember a post from Scott (dynatek) that 87 was ok.

Default dynotec gas requierments

Don from dg racing was recomending using priemium with the 4 degree key and dg3, I thought if the dyno cdi dosen't need it ,why would the module and key need it?
