I have a 1995 klf 400 bayou... like to know what the compression should be ?

AlasakaBayouGuy...have not checked the compression yet / Just want to know what it would have been
When it was new So when I check it to give me some idea of what it has lost if any ... thanks for you reply

i would say that static compression of your engine should be between 100 - 120 - for a much more accurate compression you need a differential pressure tester. this type of tester also known as an aviation type has 2 guages, and takes shop air to operate. if interested on this tester i can send you some specs on how to build one. either way, testing is most accurate when the engine is hot and not sat too long after shutdown.
