That sounds like a plan. I will be talking to the guy setting up the tour to find out what date exactly we will be in Stephenville?

We are staying 2 nights at the Backcountry Adventure lodge, which is 1 hour north of Deerlake on the 15th and 16th. We are leaving the lodge the morning of the 17th for Old Man's Pond and I think we are planning on camping at Old Man's Pond on the 17th.

On the 18th in the morning, we will probably start heading towards Stephenville. But I'm not positive if we are booked to sleep in Stephenville or not.

Jason (Kawi650), do you know if it's possible to make it from Old Man's Pond to Stephenville in one day of ridding?

It would be cool if we could meet in Stephenville on the 18th.

This is how it really works.

Me: Honey do you want to tour Newfounland for 2 weeks on the Prairie 650 in early August.
Her: Do you think I can take the Bayou 220 so that I don't have to ride 2-up all the way?
Me: I don't think that's a good idea because the Bayou is getting pretty old.
Her: Well I want my own bike to ride.
Me: Ok Let's go buy you a new bike.

Hey Kawidan; That is exactly how it worked for me as well. I wasn't going to ride double we would end up splitting everything we own and going our separate ways. Riding double wasn't a option, plus she like driving the ATV has been doing a lot of riding this year so she thinks she is ready to go. Came home yesterday with a sheepskin to cut in half to make it a little more comfortable. With deer hunting and moose hunting there is no way in heck I would get away for two weeks on the rock.

will do!!..I dont mind driving..its what,about 8 hours from here..not to bad for a 2 or 3 day ride..

 

Both of our Kawie's are red, do not know anyone else in the group I did get a letter stating that two fellows from Maine would be going as well. I haven't bothered Dave (the guide) as I suspect he is busy doing other tours he does several every summer. Hey Metalikev we don't live that far apart I'm planning on doing it in two in half days I drive a Ford as well, but mine isn't that fast (LOL). Move your holidays up I'm sure Dave has room we could go down at the same time.

Are you doing the tour with Dave Sherwoood from Happy Island ATV Tours? If so, Dave lives about 15 minutes from my house.

Thanks for the info about your bikes. I will be looking for 2 bikes with sheep skins seats LOL!!!
