Just install a 4 degree offset key and my P650 seems to be running hot

Anyone have any ideas on this one, everything went well but my fan seems to running a lot more now and the bike just feels a lot hotter is this normal???

Cuda440 is right about the air pockets. When its cool remove the radiator cap and let it run for a bit. If the system has any air in it it should work its way out. You can also help it by tapping on the lines and jacking up the front to release any trapped air.

This is going to cause a stir but here goes.
I know everyone posts with the advance keys and dyna that your motor runs cooler...but infact when you advance your timeing, you are causeing that cyclinder to fire earlier which causes more heat in the head. When you retard the timing, it is fireing later and it causes more heat in the exchaust pipe.

Shotgun, that shouldnt cause a stir. I didnt notice the fan running any less at all when I installed my DG3 or the 4 degree key. I never ran the Dyna CDI long enough to notice it.
Only thing that I can say 100% sure lowered my operating temps was the Moroso Header Wrap. My wife could also tell a big difference on her leg.
