ive noticed that my fan comes on ALOT. lets say if it goes out and i drive 100 to 150 yards it will come back on. ive tried going fast/ slow it doesnt matter.
ive tried cool days and hot.
ever since i heard that ppl saying there fan doesnt come on that much, i started to lisen to mine. i can barely hear it over the nyroc muffler. it doesnt shimmy( the fan) but i can feal it, im more aware of the fan now than before.

deerchopper my p650 03 fan always stays running for awhile after i shut it off say 1to2 minutes on a normal ride say halfhour trips. and i keep mine very cleen after each ride i spray both through the front and back with the jet setting on my hose nozzle. havent tryed any of the specialty coolonig products yet but maybe soon.

I use redline waterwetter. a $8.99 bottle will be enough for at least 4 bikes mixed with water. Fan now comes on for a minute or two instead of 5 minutes. Also the modules keep temps cooler. I have the dg3. Plus keep radiater clean each day of riding

The modules didnt do a thing for my fan running. The debate is still out on the Redline Water Wetter. Only thing that I can say helped my temps was the Moroso header wrap.
My fan runs a lot also. It even comes on after the key has been off for a minute or two sometimes. BUT!! I have never had a heating issue or problem with my P650. I have 199 hours and 1658 miles.

deerchooper maybee it is just the thermastat starting the fan at a lower temp
put your hand on the head of the engien when it comes on and see if it feels hot
you can just touch a kfx 400 with gluves on when fan is running prity hot

According to the Redline Water Weter label,.... 2 oz.
It says 1 oz per quart. Our P650s hold 2.2 quarts according to the service manual.

I have to agree with KOD..the modules do nothing for cooler running..I have the dg3 and my bro has the dyna and both fans run just as much as before..we were just talking about it last night because his fan was running alot more and we were only giving the kids a ride around the property..
