Prairie 700 Handle Bars and Crash
#1
After 3 end over end flips down a hill, a life flight, a broken scapula and severly bruised pelvis, and 5 nights in the hospital I am out and wondering if anyone has replaced their handle bars on a P700. I haven't seen my quad since the accident but I understand that the handle bars are tweaked pretty good. I have called a shop and they mentioned "Renthal" handle bars...
Just wondering if anyone has replaced their's and how tough it is with the LCD and everything attached to the bars. Any help would be great.

Penland sells a pertty cool handle bar mount allowing you to run fat bars/ or reg. Also you wont need the plastic bar cover. Im not sure if anyone else sells the mount? I also beleave FMF/ 909 has some bars that will fit the Prairie and have the same bend? You'll have to search the forum for Penlands Number, and Yahoo for FMF/ 909s web site. ~coop

Thanks for the help guys, after further investigation, I have found out that I bent the steering stem and shattered all plastic around the handle bars. Plastic I can handle, handle bars I found I can handle but has anyone replaced the steering stem on a P700? If so what kind of time am I looking at on doing so? I called the dealer and it sounds like the stem runs about a $140 so not bad, Im just wondering how big of a project I will be getting into.
Any help greatly appreciated.
