Easy to check: good compression, it's likely valve seals, bad compression, it's rings. Very unlikely to have good power with bad rings, though.

I'm having the same problem everybody else is happening with the smoking so I decided just to order a whole new top-end with steals piston rings the whole nine yards and now it runs perfect the only cost you about 245
