After talking with a few guys today I think we should wait to see what Yamaha brings to the playing field. We know the Yami will be an 800cc V-Twin, EFI, IRS, and 2wd/4wd with locker. What I dont know is, if it will have the sealed rear brake and the lower gas tank. With the EFI I dont see it having a high gas tank like the Grizz 660 has now. They have had almost 4 years to study the rear brake system from Kawi so I think they will have that also.

After hearing about the Yamaha 800 I have put a hold on the BBK. Also I heard some interesting news concerning a BF750 along with a Dyna CDI on it. Lets put it this way, I hate to spend $1500 or so and have someone with a BF750 put a CDI on it and give me a hard time. Not to many guys will mess with jetting and such on a new atv but everyone will want to pop that $250 CDI on in less than a minute. If this does turn out to be the case, whats the use for me to try?

Wow, I looked at your pics and that looks like just what I'm looking for. I'm trying to figure out what the back spacing is on a set of ITP C-serie wheels for my new BF750. Could you possibly find time to measure fom the inside of the wheels mounting flange out to a straight edge laid across the diameter of the rim? This would give me an idea of exactly what the backspacing is on them. You you have the ITP part numbers for the wheels that would be a great help too.
I'm planning on putting ITP 589s on mine.
Hope you can help.
Thanks, mikeames@peoplepc.com

Heys guys - I think the ATRs are 6 ply, not 4. We're on our 2nd sets. We had them on the Prairies, and we just rode H/M with them on the Twin Peaks. Makes a big difference over the stock tires - hands down. (Mrs. Q)

scoobybri, I just ordered the same rims and tires you have, should be here Friday. I can't believe I didn't buy big mud tires, but I don't want to loose any of the throttle response this thing has. I had Carlisle Badlands radials on my Polaris 700 EFI and I hated them, these Holeshots look very similar to those Carlisles, I hope they get better traction and don't puncture as easily.

I just purchased a set of 26" for my Brute and they have a shimmy in them at about 35 mph and gets worse to 55. I took them back to my dealer and he said thaty he would call his supplier and try to get me another set

Handling is excellent.

The sidewalls are a little thin. (the last set that I had on my rancher were plugged all over)

Carlisle badlands inferior tires? I've got them on mine and love them. I believe there's others on the forums here that have them as well and give very favorable reports on them. I was going to buy the ATR's, but after hearing of all the out-of-round issues with them, I didn't want to go through the grief. I have used ITP holeshots on many of my sport bikes and like them, but the perpetual out-of-roundness that seems to plague this brand is very aggravating. Also, they seem to leak air quite a bit. I'm sold on the badlands XTR's....they're doing a good job for me, and they're round as can be.

I sure wish my P650 came with the Badland radials. It would have saved me a lot of money on the ATRS. I think the Badland Radial are just as good if not better than the ATRs.

Scoob,
I have to agree with every thing you say about adding the ATR/C-series combo. The only thing I did different is added the 25x10x12 tires to the rear. This makes the back 2'' wider than your measurements. I also went with the standard C-series, I was concerned about sticks etc.. Possibly catching a brake line or something through the large openings in the type-5/6 wheel. I didn't know that the pressure should be increased; I was running 5lbs, thanks for the info.

my problem with the Carlisles, which came stock on my 04.5 Polaris 700 EFI, is that they got holes in the sidewalls the first trip out, and they did not hook up good in the mud. I was riding with a buddy that had Mudlites on a 400 Honda and he went through a hole that I had to back up and hit 4 times, finally with a lot of speed to get through it. I should have a big advantage with true 4wd and 300 more cc's but got very little traction.

I just got my rims and tires, SWEET! these are nothing like the Badlands they put on my Polaris. I like these tires, they have much deeper tread and more space between them.
