OK, I need to try and figure out what tires I should put on my MX V-Force. The stock tires just give to much hook up in the corners and one of the front ones went flat on me this weekend. Give me any and all ideas you can on tire set up.
Size, style, etc. etc.
Thanks guys,
Jay

I am running 20 in razor mx on the front and 18 in kenda klaws on the back and they are hooking up great. I had a set of 19 in holshot mx on the front but had a problem with the front end digging into the dirt, I am running elka zero preload shocks also. This may not be an issue with stock shocks. Also the kenda claws were hooking up so good last race that I would pull a big wheelie out of ever corner and everybody thouth that I was just showing off, so how do you deny that.

I have found that motorcross is all short distance drag racing for the most part so the smaller tire just gives you a little more torque for short distances. Also I have found that If you pull the hole shot you are more often than not going to finish in the top of your class. also I try to set my center of gravity as low as possible for cornering. If you were running a wide open motorcross track you may want to run a taller tire for speed but when do you actualy go more than a hundred yards without turning or jumping. I would say you would probably never go over 30 or 40mph. If any body has any comments on this I would like to hear it so that I might rethink my opinion.
Thank You,
Thank You,
