Front end alignment
#1
Need some opinions. My BF alignment is offby a little bit. It does NOT pull, and the toe-in is right on the money. It is not hurting anything, but it is noticable. Maybe a 1/2" off...meaning that the the handlebars need to be tilted to the left about a 1/2" to make the Brute go straight. Tire pressure is perfect. I don't want to screw up the perfect toe-in by fiddling with the tie rods (and I could not get the tie rod nuts to budge when I tried to loosen them.) Is it worth the effort to try to make things perfect?

Yes, you need to fiddle with the tie rods. Did you realize that half of the nuts are lefty threads? They weren't that awful tight on my P650 when I set my toe. Were you turning the lefty threaded nuts the wrong way, maybe?
Also, if you carefully turn the left tire rod one way, just turn the other one the opposite direction the exact same amount and it won't change the toe.

Nyroc,
On your website you said this in your tech tips section...
You loosen the tie rod nuts on all four tie rods and rotate twist both tie rods the exact amount in the same direction (unless you need to center the handlebars).
So, if I understand it correctly (to center the handlebars), you would turn the tie rods in opposing directions to move the wheels in the SAME direction? That seems to defy logic, but hey, alot of things do!

It works that way with the righty and lefty threads.
What I said does not defy logic. However, depending on what you think "the other way" means, what I said could be right or wrong.
People generally use the terms forward or backward when turning the tie rods in order to keep the directions straight (forward means top of rod goes toward the front of quad).
Since you need to lengthen one and shorten the other, turn one of them one way (forward) and the other one backward the exact same amount.

blahlblahblah said a thousand times, you might get tired of hearing it nyroc, but thanks for the BS it takes to keep your site up.
I was washing my 650 and noticed the tie rod nut was loose, as in finger loose....I cant HELP but think it was recent as the toads at Norris Medina Stealership did the front end recall thing only a few dozen miles ago.....
anyhow, now I need to check it out and found this thread.........thanks man, sincerely
