Anyone start BF with pull Rope?
#23
Just went outside and started it dead cold on third pull. There is no way anyone can pull that thing over on compression stroke. I tried and ripped my freaking towel!!! you would think the user manual would go over that.

ok, There must be something wrong with my starter cause even past compression stroke this thing is unbelievably hard to pull! I also feel a lot of tension on the rope as I pull it. I pulled it past the compression strokes and still it takes two hands to pull it. The rope is even starting to look worn from all the pulling I have done.
You look as though you are putting very little effort into the pull but mine has a LOT of resistance as I pull it. I feel as though it is going to break the rope there is so much tension on it.

ok, I got it. I was pulling it to where it was 90 degrees to the engine instead of straight up. Once I pulled it straight up it came up so fast I about busted my hand on the left grip. I hope I didnt shorten the life of my rope now. It's pretty easy when you do it right

you think the brute starts hard you should try starting my friends p830.
It has 12:1 pistons and a bore and stroke of 87X70.
there isnt much chance in my 150 lbs starting that monster.
