DROIL... have you been having a problem tripping the belt trip switch, like a lot of other Cat 650 owners have expirienced ???
what do you currently have in for shims in the secondary ???
I have not run the Dayco belts yet, & don't know the Item numbers off the top of my head... is the 2017, the 650 belt, or the 700 belt ???
I have heard several complaints of the belt life, on the Dayco belts ( weather they are founded or not, I don't know )... I understand them to be a softer rubber compound, & somewhat narropwer, & possibly a little longer than the O.E. belts...
I would personally run the O.E. Kawasaki belt, & install the 700 or 360 belt, & shim it on the tight side ( it may get there, just by switching to one of these belts, if you are currently running a 650 or equal belt, as they are wider... this will likely allow you to just replace the belt, with out opening your secondary again...

DROIL... the 700 or equivilent belt, should be an upgrade from the 650 belts, it has a better shieve grabbing shape, & is wider & stronger ( in O.E. configuration )... I will add an addy for NYROCS tech tips, which will show you how to make the needed tools, & offers the best collection of data on belt adjustment, that I know of... most likely, if your service has been done at a Cat dealer, they are unfamiliar with setting the Kawi clutch up...& have been giving you too loose a setting to start with... if you don't get the mileage out of the next Dayco belt, once the deflection has been set to the tight side of the specs, than you may find better service with the O.E. belt, given the additional weight of the Cat, over the Prairie... once you get you hands dirty on the Kawi style clutch, & have a reference source, Like NYROC's site, you'll find working on the CVT, relitively easy...
IMO, most of the Cat related belt trip switch problems ( problems with actually tripping the switch inside the belt cover ), is either related to too loose a belt, to start with, or could be related to some sort of flexing ???
sorry, you'll have to cut & paste this to your browser, as I've not been able to do links on this forum... look here...
