650 Prarie or 700 Prarie
#1
I am looking at adding a 4x4 to my list. I have a dealer that has '03 Praries left. The deal is about 5800. Is it worth it in terms of changes to go with the '04 or not? I'm not concerned about top speed or more power just in changes that may be worth the upgrade.
I have heard of changes to the belt system that seals it better and not as much adjustment. I'm not sure if this is true or not. I did a search and it seems the '03 is okay. None of the posts were that new though. I figured that enough time has passed that more problems would have cropped up. Thanks in advance for the responses.

2005's are here. Your bike will already be 2 years old & 2 years behind in upgrades. If I could get the 700 Prairie or Suzuki for a few hundered more I'd get one of the 700 twins. PM Kawitech he the parts Guru & could tell you the changes

I Paid 6200.oo out the door for a 2004 twin peaks last week and saw a few adds for prarries for about the same price. I would say its worth 400.00 bucks or so for the 700. I would offer him 5300.00 for the old 650 and see how bad he wants to get rid of a 2 year old quad. I would want to be at least a 1000.00 bucks or so in back of a 700's price range.
good luck

Wow, 6200 otd. I have only talked to one dealer so far and his offer ( I wasn't negotiating hard yet) was 7200 with a plow and winch installed. I haven't talked to the dealer yet with the 650's. That is planned for tomorrow.

I have found you are normally better off making the deal on the just the bike, get a firm price then talk about accesories, dealers have a way of making things sound better than they really are, and you can always beat the dealer price just about anywhere on accesories. The more items you deal with the easier it is for them to sneak something in on you. just my 2cents
