Default belt problems

I've got a p360. I've been fighting belt squeal since new. I've corrected belt deflection twice. I recently bought a Dayco HP2019 belt for it. I went to install the belt today and found it to be too big. Even after I removed my last 6mm shim, I still have about 1.3" of deflection with the Dayco. When I put the old used up Kawi belt on, I have about .6". This makes the stocker too tight, and drags the trans when in gear, but the Dayco is too loose. Anyone else run into this? Did I get a bad belt? The Dayco looks light years ahead of the junk stocker, I wish I could get the deflection right so I could use it. Has anyone machined a couple thousands off the sheaves in order to correct a similar problem? Thanks

The first thing you should do is find out how much deflection there should be and then go from there

I would call Dayco and see what they say about it ,that definitely does sound too loose.
