Difference in aceleration from stock to mudlights?

Default Difference in aceleration from stock to mudlights?

I am running 26 Mudlites. I weighed the stock wheels and tires at 23lb rear front and 19lb front before the changeover. With the 26 Mudlites and stock wheels the 12inch rears weighed in at 34lb each while the 10inch fronts weighed in at 28lb each. So the changeover added about 40lb overall. The Mudlites have a couple thousand miles from a previous bike but still have most of the rubber so should be close to new weight.

I have only ridden 80 miles so far so am still taking it easy.

I have rear bumper, rear cargo box,winch and roll bar on the front rack, all of which adds further weight. So far the bike is very competent,has good power but does not blow you away.

I have the suspension set at the 3 position and find there is moderate body roll and front end dive on corners and sidehills but handling is considerably better than my 500i Cat which was equipped the same way.

For acceleration the 750 took three or four lengths out of a friends 700 Prairie with 27inch Mudbugs but top speed was about equal. During a hillclimb the 750 was about equal with a somewhat lighter 660 Grizzly which has been ported,polished,jetted and piped. At no time did I feel the bike was close to a wheelie.

For my winch I purchased an Artic Cat kit on sale that included a mounting plate. I welded in supports for the plate in the stock front bumper and mounted the 2500 winch . It works well. The front bumper is very thinwalled tubing which led my welder to wonder if it is strong enough to support the winch during a good pull. Time will tell.
