Pilot adjustment on V 700 ?

I recently put a set of DMC's on my 700 and re-jetted to 140 front and 145 rear mains, & turned the fuel screws out to 3 1/4 turns out, The bike runs great but sometimes has a erratic idle and will die when you stop & sometimes it wont, Sometimes it will rev a little higher, I have adjusted the screws both ways about a turn and turning it out to richen it up helps but most people have said not to go over 3 1/2 turns out with out moving up on the pilot, Just wondering if anyone else has some input on this, Or has had to synch there carbs after a re-jet and pipes?
