I just bought a brute and turned the keys to the 03 650 over to my wife,last weekend we went for a 4 hour ride.when we returned to the camp and shut the bikes down the 650 was making a high pitch squealing sound,when I removed the seat I could see smoke coming from the battery and it was extremely hot,I managed to get it disconnected and out of the bike before it exploded(which it didnt),it was making a lot of noise which subsided once it was discinnected,so I can only assume that it was boiling inside,anyone have any idea what would cause this? Also sometimes my fan continues to run long after the bike is shut off.
as far as the Brute goes its not as smooth as the 650,it seems to have a vibration in high range.
