Muzzys burning leg!! that HOT.
#1
I just got the V-force and put Muzzy exhaust on yesterday. That rear Cyl pipe is so Hot. My leg is 4 inches for the heat shield and I still can't ride in shorts. Does anyone else find this exhaust hot on the leg. How close can I turn in the header to the engine. I didn't want to get to close to the hoses on the engine. Anyone know of a better heat shield. What else to do. I have rejeted with a dyno jet kit and went richer than they suggested since I opened up the air box. OH buy the way just installed the procomm CDI and what I difference I just might ride this more than my DS. Cant' wait to hit the dunes.

A buddy of mine that runs them uses exhaust wrap. You'll just have to watch it and change the wrap often because it has a tendency to hold in moisture and corrode the pipes, but it seems to work well. ~coop

I wear riding boots that come up almost to my knee that makes it bearable. When you ride slow for a long time it gets pretty uncomfortable so I just point my knee out and get some wind on it.

thanks for the info guys. I think I am going to try the heat shield trick and open up the air screw. will the air screw really make a difference. I know on my DS it really only helps the idle. I just might have to jet hot them. I can drop off this week they are here in phoenix. And I was riding in shorts today.

I looked at it late last night hope I didn't wake up the neigbors. Most of the heat is coming from the 2 into 1 pipe right behing the heat shield tha came with the muzzys. I will have to get a shield made for that I don't think Jet Hot will cool it down that much.
