Just wondering how the Polaris 800 stacks up to the Brute force or prairies. If you raced one was it on dirt mud road how was takeoff midrange and topend? were the riders of similar size? I can't wait to line my p700 up against a Suzuki king quad and see if all the hype is true I know Suzuki detuned it by im wondering by how much.

Although I'm not sure of course, I don't see how the Sportsman could possibly beat the Brute Force in a drag race. The Brute weighs in at about 604 lbs. dry. The Sportsman tips the scales at around 770 lbs. dry. I don't think that the extra 50 or so cc's and EFI can make up for this big weight advantage that the Brute Force has.

opps I didn't realize it wasn't out yet I have not seen one yet. I live in Canada and I thought it was out in sept and yes I know at least one person on the polaris forum does have one and after some more research I guess he bought his dealers demo model. Nice Dealer I have to agree that theoreticaly it won't beat a Brute but it has some advantages ie efi more cc's and dual exhaust so who knows? Polaris has some decent quads but why does it have to weigh so much? I don't get it. Truthfully im a lot more interested in the King Quad and I don't really trust too much of what is known, so far one guy says it has no power and another claims 52mph in 300ft! something doesn't add up. I will test one for myself and then at least I can cut through all the B.S. I don't race a whole lot but I always like to know my machines capabilities before I do race and what to race what not to race as I can't stand losing 90% of the time I go less than 40mph but in the winter we all go on the lakes and it is safe to open up the quad more so after the ice is lifted and the snow is mostly melted we put our sleds away and hit the lakes with our quads. last year I had a 300 honda fourtrax and I couln't keep up to anyone on the lake but on the trails no one could lose me for long. I have to admit the new storage box built into the front rack on some new Polaris' is a smart idea.
