Update on key dyna cdi problem
#1
My local Honda dealer installed the key. I developed a knocking sound so took it to Kawasaki. (should of in first place for install)
The Key was not installed correctly by Honda. I believe the bearing came loose before the flywheel. Anyway this resulted in the
knocking noise and put a 1/2" hairline crack on the end of crank.
Currently been waiting 2 weeks for crank.
Honda agreed that it was a bad install after inspecting parts and are paying for replacement crank, bearing, and gaskets. My Kawasaki dealer is working with me on labor.
I'm going back together with advance key, since key was not the problem.
My dealer said this would be a great time to put on new pipes for no labor charge so I ordered a full HMF penland system. I also ordered a quite core.
I can't wait to ride again with new Harley loud exhaust and extra 4 hp.

I'm glad to hear it wasn't the key. Please let us know how that new exhaust sounds/runs. I think that is something I would be interested in. Also let me know if you had to do any rejetting with the new exhaust.

Hi, Cuda440. Yes I thought it was important to let everyone know.
Can't wait for exhaust and machine. I'm thinking because of high elevations I ride at 4000-8000 feet
that may not have to re jet, from stock 138-142 jets.
I was popping and back firing all the time above 6000 with the stock jets. My cylinders had a good buildup of black
soot. I'm running rich even with dg snorkel and tpi valve at this elevation. The new exhaust may be just the ticket , but I will post something later.
