Depending on the spring you got, the stall on the new spring sounds like its higher than the stock spring you are use too.

Check out: http://700v.com/id33.htm to see your stall versus stock spring. If spring has a higher stall, your engine will rev higher to reach preload of your new spring & the spring engages.

Visit NYROCS website for Jetting tips.
Do air mixture adjustment, High speed run, keep throttle open and hit kill switch while holding throttle wide open till engine & bike coast to a stop, & do Plug check/chop & jet as needed till plugs are light tan. Each bike jetting needs are different depending on your setup/mods. Looking at your mods and if you are near sea level start at 138Front 140Rear Keihin jets and move up or down from there. Test & calibrate till it Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs. Also be sure your belt deflection is within specs.

wickedkawi, for starters I would recommend taping up the holes in the airbox lid. From my experience this doesnt work well when the engine heats up anyway. Sucks in to much hot air.

Im assuming you are punching the gas all at once. If you are easing in on the throttle then the primary spring has a higher engagement than what you are used to feeling.

First thing though is tape up those holes.

So you wouldnt even recomend a cold air intake style setup,i drilled mine on top of the lid, what about down lower in line with the cover in front of it..............lmao,this is funny, the very same thing im talking about is what you have done to yours, what a coincidence,i was looking at your site the same time i was typing this. Anyhow,so tape up the holes and try something more along the lines of what you have there?? Great, thanks for the help!

All I seen was you "drilled the hell out of the air filter cover". Maybe someone else can help you better.
