Does anyone think it would be worth the effort to put a KLX300R enghine into a Mojave? It would have 298cc's,6-speed,DOHC,4-valve,Liquid cooled. I just like the 6-speed part. Or would you be safer with upgrading the cams and boring it out?

I wouldn't use the KLX300R engine. It is weak. It really doesn't have the bottom end that one would expect. If you really want to be different, go get a Ninja 500R engine and slap it in there. DOHC twin, 4 valves-per-cylnder, big bore, short stroke, 10.8:1 compression, counterbalanced, six-speed transmission. 4 Wheel ATV Action did an article a few years ago that had an in-house built Mojave with that engine in it. They said it was a screamer and had about 60 hp stock. It had a custom two-into-one exhaust system on it and reportedly sounded awsome. They also tested a dune version of the Roll/KX250 quad in that article.
