How has a good/easy skid plate package for the BF.(richochet,or aluminum products,ect.),because I already ripped the front plastic one off,below the winch.

What are you going to put them on?

I put a full Ricochet skid package on my Twin Peaks, and I am very impressed and happy. Unlike other brands I considered, the Ricochet skids are VERY THICK........about a 1/4 - 5/16", so they will withstand a good shot.

I do have one very minor gripe about the skids though.........the mounting brackets fit rather tightly, and you have to put them in some low clearance/tolerance areas. So, for one person to put them on by themselves (like I did), it gets a little tough going.

IMHO, on a 1-10 scale, I'd give them a solid 10.....even with the aggravation of putting them on, they are very well worth it.

I contacted Armidillo (sp?) about when they'd have skids boot protectors for the BF, and was told not til Dec/Jan. These are thick "plastic" skids but apparently hold up really, really well.

 

You've just had that a few days haven't you? No offense, but keep the tires on the high spots since you said you were new to atv'ing and maybe no one has mentioned that yet. Also, you can find stumps and logs when riding thru grass. We want to take care of that new BF..........this post is getting too bossy.

P.S. I have the ricochet system....I had a buddy help me tip my Prairie up on its behind and it was easier to work on. Just drain gas first. When you're done, just push it back down and let it bounce.

 

Aluminum Products worked fine for me on my Prairie. Easy to install and they have held up to some pretty good shots.
