I JUST GOT MY P700.

AT FIRST I TOLD THE DEALER I DIDNT WANT THE WINCH SO HE TOOK OFF MORE MONEY OFF OF THE BIKE.

NOW IM CONSIDERING GETTING THE WINCH

HE SAID THAT HIS COST IS ABOUT $120 PLUS MY $69

SO I COULD GET IT FOR APROX $190

WHAT DO YOU THINK.

IS THIS A GOOD DEAL, IS HE FULL OF IT, DO I REALLY NEED IT?

LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RESPONSE.

How much did he take off the price w/o the winch, and does that include the mounting plate. What's with the extra 120$ instead of just the 69$. I also skipped the winch and will use the money to get the power commander when it's ready next year.

I'm not sure on the price, I think you should only be liable for the 69 bucks, or whatever he took of the price of that quad.

I went with a warn 2.5 and I'll never own another utility without a winch. The first time I got stuck was just in my backyard. I hooked onto a tree and pulled myself right out of the muck. No drama, no walking back up to the house to get another atv or a truck, and it only took a couple of minutes. A few of my friends have had them on their machines and I saw how useful they can be, especially for 650lb big bore utility atvs like the prairie.

I say go get one, but be cautious on how much the dealer decides to charge you. Make sure he tells you exactly how much it will cost with mounting bracket and if you are having them do it, get labor charges ahead of time. He should have done enough winches that he knows how long and how much its costs to get one on.

THE DEALER SAID HE TOOK AN ADDITIONAL 120 OFF OF THE BIKE WHEN I SAID I DIDNT WANT THE PROMOTION.

IT INCLUDES ALL MOUNTING HARDWARE EXCEPT FOR ROLLER......APROX 30

SO THE TOTAL COST FOR THE WINCH WOULD BE $210

I THINK ITS A WARN 2.5....?

ANYONE KNOW FOR SURE WHAT MODEL WINCH IT IS.?

WHATS THE POWER COMMANDER??

Are you are talking about the Kawasaki winch or plow deal that you get when you buy atv for $69
I did that last year and I got the plow. I would do it if i was you that winch is a warn and runs between $325 to $400 without the mount and they give you the mount. even if you didnt end up wanting it you could sell it for a profit easy.

Not seeing why that would matter he gets reimbursed by the manufacturer for the winch........he might be charging labir on the install...... I opted to put the plow on myself when I got mine

Get the winch. You'll be glad you did. I use mine all the time. And the first time you need one, you're really going to wish you had it. You might have blown off the $69 deal, but $200 bucks still ain't bad, especially if you're getting the necessary hardware.

Yep, if you can handle the 200 bucks do it.
A 2500 lb warn wench is around 300. without labor.
You should of jumped on the 69 dollar deal and then worked labor in for free.
I know what its like though. You get tired of haggling and all you want is the new car, or atv in this case.

I bought my P-700 with the winch deal. It was 69 dollars for the winch, and $50.00 for install. At that price I couldn't pass it up. I have installed winches before, it's pretty easy if you are semi-mechanical. It's mostly running wires and bolting down the winch. No rocket scientist needed. It seems a bit high for installation. Personally, I would offer him $50.00 for install and go from there. It was smith brothers in Oneonta, alabama that installed mine for $50.00.

It's a power booster for anything that has EFI, it's available for the polaris 700efi now, but won't be ready for the Kq till next year. PC The Quads are listed under Motorcycle Power Commanders.
