Well the only thing I know for sure at this point is that even at half to 3/4 thotle its alot stronger than stock. I didn't get to ride it much the jetting was way off and needs adjusted, anything over half - 3/4 thotle would cause it to bogg down and cough and sputter. I also noticed the head pipe glowing bright red friday night after riding it around about 15 minuts. its back at my local performance shop being dialed in.
We ended up doing alot of testing on our other STP's/ praries and discovered the strangest thing. We had my STP700 with procircut pipe DYNA CDI and K@N filter get its but kicked by my buddys stock STP700, we spent most of the afternoon trying to different things to get it up to par with at least the stock one. The thing that helped the most was taking off the big horns and putting the badland XTRs back on(unsprung weight was the biggest power killer). By the end of the day we had it runing prety close to the stock STP700. Here is the realy strange thing we pulled out the old p650 with its PC exhaust & a dirty K&N filter,a chirping belt and it ran stronger than all of them. The P650 was just a little faster than the Stock STP700 I could't believe it. A old 1500 mile 633 beating up on the newer 700's. I thought the last dyno numbers were jacked up when they showed the P650 at 1 HP less than the 700 and 2 lbs of TQ more than the 700. I learned the dyno didn't lie it realy does runs that strong. I have noticed the Dyna CDI helped the old P650 alot but does not do much for the 700's. I still like having it on the 700 if for no other reason than turning off that belt minder thing and eliminating the reverse overide.

thanx for the report...I'm always glad to hear about a P650 that keeps up with or occasionally beats a P700 (makes me feel a little better about my lil P650).
Let us know how your FST 800cc quad runs when you get it tuned right.
Happy trails...

Well thats all that is left to do but I have had its jetting checked every time its been on the Dyno. They have this probe they insert into the exhaust to check its jetting and the last time we checked it in july it was indicating that the jetting was right on. As far as sond and feal it seems to be running real good however last weekend we had the chance to do alot of drag racing them against each other and its deffinantly not as good as we thought. As soon as we get the 800 dialed in I plan to bring the 700 back to the shop and this time put a jet kit in it and dial it in again to see if we can't get its performance up to par with what it should be. With all the mods on it I would think, I could expect to see it puting out numbers in the rage of 6 HP more then the P650 with the same mods , maybe more.
