Default 1000cc V-Twin Sport Utility ATV

The evidence is overwhelming. Five years ago, the over 500cc ATV class didn't exist. In 2005 it's expected to clear 20% of all ATV sold (almost 200,000 unit)

Despite their obvious popularity, we continue to hear over-simplified comments about safety issues as they pertain to large displacment ATV's. Serious ATV injury issues are ridiculously easy to identify, easy to understand and sadly, even easier to prevent.

No#1 Riders without helmets still top the list of those being injured across North America.

No#2 Flip-over from riding two-up on a one passenger ATV.

The biggest of the big are, without exception, safe, superb handling vehicles presenting no more danger to their operator than a 250cc model would present.

It all boild down to this: The operator is undoubtably the most potentially dangerous component on any ATV. If the operator uses common sence, makes responsible choices and obeys the laws and rules of safety clearly presented multiple times throughout the ATV purchase and ownership experience, we can look forward to 1000cc ATVs without fear.

.. I don't personally have a problem with the size of the ATV, though I think that kawi went to 750cc was a bit overkill, the sad fact remains that there will always be a hungrey lawyer just waiting to make a bad mark on us because of someone's stupidity.

My fellow americans, i promise you this. If i am re-elected, I will put heavy pressure on all the atv manufacturers to come out with a V-8 ATV. This will aide in my plan to raise gas prices to well over $3 a gallon. After we start to see V-8 atv's I promise to give the rich another tax cut and start another war.

I got some blowed up rodeck and gm all aluminum motors we can whack the front two cyls off an make a v-twin use a 8'' torque converter sealed shaft toward the block (Idler off the turbine shaft) and fire the secondary shaft with a chain and sprocket 430 cid div by 8=53.75 x2= 107.5 ci. no money lots a junk that needs welded and cut.lol.

No...if anything...you are NOT George W. Bush. Your "wit" clearly represents you as one of the lazy, disingenuous, cowardly, and blissfully ignorent people who attack and harm all outdoor sports. You must be taken care of. The rest of us must take responsibility for your umbilical attachment to childhood. For you are Democrat, for you are liberal...here (and everywhere) you whine. The rest of us shall see to to your care and feeding....and you know it!

I am WheelCow and you have proven my words true and accurate!

Back to the original topic , I herd the same thing maddog did, its a 1000cc Bomb being dialed back to an 800 and put in a traxter chassis. I was thinking though, that if it does end up being a 800 derived from the 1000 would that not make it easy (easy not cheap) to take it back up to a 1000. Does anybody know what kind of HP that 1000cc V-twin in the sled puts out?

I've got the sled and its on par with a 600sdi 2 stroke as far as power and speed. The 600 has a little better top end, but hey its a two stroke. Ive been all over the net and no one seems to have any actual hp numbers on it.
