cracked or broken plastic? heres a little fix.
i tryed this today on my prairie. i took a butane torch and heated up the plastic and then used a small punch to weave the plastic from side to side. after i was happy with the process i used a small steel dowel and rolled out the small imperfections. be carefull not to heat it to much, just enough to move the plastic back and forth. i did this on black plastic.
there are some benifits to this as well. just before it cools down you can put your thumb print into the plastic, where if somebody steals it you got proof.
i know you zip tie fans may frown on this but its just another choice.

wow..the torch does work well. Thank you for posting the photo's. Once a little mud gets on the wheeler you will not notice the " scar " much at all. I have a buddy who has used wire to sew a crack shut.....The torch method looks a lot better
Thanks again.

your welcome. the way i see it is, it might not be that prefect but it might look better than zip ties or wire. you will still see the crack with ties or wire. but like you said when you get it a little muddy or scratch it up it wont be as noticable.
now i have a deap gouge in my lime green plastic. what im going to try to do is blend it back in. i will post pictures if i get brave enough to do that.
