I want to change mine to synthetic. Whats a good brand, and whats most important is where i can get it local. Like walmart or autozone or somewhere. Just somewhere i can stop in town. Also is there like an oil filter that would fit it you can get at that place also that may fit the bike?? I almost forgot. How about the correct weight oil to for synthetic. Not to light or to heavy. Thanks.....

Well you can get regular Mobil1 at Wal- mart...10-30 good for winter, 15-50 good for summer....I personally don't like fram filters but they sell them there...... any oil filter for the Mazda miata will fit BUT.... I use factory filters because nobody knows for sure about the different flow rates and by-pass valve pressures between the auto filters and factory filters.... I don't want to take a chance on ruining a motor just for a couple bucks cheaper filter.......my advise, use the factory dealer filter and any good name brand oil you will be fine.....Mobil 1 is fine........

Ya'll may laugh, but my Ford Powerstroke uses Rotella 15-40.
So do both of my 360s since the first oil change.
Runs just fine and I always have a little left over in the case when I change the truck oil.
I do use the factory filter though.
Not real sure about fram filters.
Have heard more bad than good.

I have been using the Super Tech filter since my second oil change and they seem to work fine. At one point, before I installed my Richochet Skid Plate (I would highly recommend this to all 360 owners, its a shame Kaw left the belly so vulnerable) I got hung up on a stump, and totally crushed the oil filter. Even though the super tech filter was crushed and presumably not working, it did not leak and i was able to ride all day.
I also use mobil 1 from wal mart, but not real sure of the weight??? I know the gallon jug has a red cap and I thought it was 5w 40 but not real sure----didnt notice any performance increase at all with syn oil. Do change your rear end oil---Bought the right stuff from Kaw dealer and old oil came out pretty dirty.
