Burte limp mode
#1
I heard that to reset the limp mode you:
1. Take off the clutch/belt housing on the right
2. There are two wire plugs and a switch in there.
3. Flip Flop the wires
3. Flip the switch
4. Turn the key on for 30 seconds
5. Turn it back off
6. Flip the switch back
7. Switch the wire plugs back
8. Reinstall the cover
I do not know if this works, was told by a 650 Prairie rider today that he has done this when his belt light came on and put it into limp mode. He stated it will only let you go 5 mph. When mine kicks in I am going to try it. If yours is in limp mode now and try it, or if you have heard that this is a bunch of crap please let me know. Looking at the clutch housing there is a small black box that sits on top of it, he stated that was the inverted switch in the housing.

If you're talking about the Brute Force, that's not the right way to reset it and you don't have to take the belt cover off to switch the grey and black plugs, they are under the seat. the 2 wire one is accessible from the outside of the cover also. If your belt has physically tripped the switch inside the cover, re-setting it isn't going to help.
